Proof that the Father is the

Invisible Spirit/ Creator

Nevertheless, despite all of the scriptural documentation presented above, many people when they pray, still visualize a throne room in heaven where two main Supreme Personages sit on two different thrones.  And many would say, “Well, what of it.  What’s the difference anyway?”  It would not make any difference if He had not said that the true worshippers must worship Him in spirit and truth.  We must acknowledge that the true God is a Spirit-entity that is invisible.  But there are many spirits and “gods many,” so we must worship Him in truth.  We must know the truth about Him.  Is there one or two up there?  It is important for true worship.

But most see in their mind’s eye the Father God, who by His very nature, is the oldest of the two.  And then they visualize the Son of God—a God Himself, the offspring of the Father who sits on another throne to His right. Now this is the way it seems to many, and this spiritual scenario would be acceptable except for one thing: the scriptures of truth say that the Father is an invisible Spirit.  And by definition an invisible entity cannot be seen by the eye.  Also, the Saviour said that the Father was inside of Himself. The Father is referred to as “God” in both testaments.  By watching the usage of the word “God” we can begin to see just what is the essence of the Father.

The apostle John says point blank that God (Theos) is a Spirit and that that Spirit is the Father.  God wants people to worship Him in spirit because He is a Spirit. We, His creation, can only worship Him in spirit.  Any-thing else dwells on the outward temporary things of the earth.  Everything earthly will be done away with in the end.  Only the eternal will survive.  But the hour com-eth, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  The Father is seeking true worshippers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.  God is a Spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.  Jn.4:23-24.

In v. 23 we see that the Father wants people to worship Him in spirit.  Why?  Because He is Spirit, and those that truly worship Him will do it spiritually.  In v. 24, same breath, it is God who is to be worshipped in spirit and in truth.  It is Theos/Elohim/God who is to be worshipped in spirit and truth.  It is obvious that the Father and Theos/Elohim/God are the same.

So we see that the Father is Spirit.  But is He invisible according to the scriptures?  The Messiah is the image of the invisible Theos/God.  …the image of the invisible God (Theos), the firstborn of every creature. Colossians  1:15.  And we know that Theos is the same as Elohim in the Old Testament Hebrew, translated “God.”  Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God (Theos), be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.  I Tim. 1:17.  God is an invisible Spirit.

But how can we be sure that this invisible Spirit/God Paul is writing about is the Father?  The answer is not far behind.  Paul writes of Theos/Elohim/God a bit later in Timothy, spelling it out plainly that He is the Father.  For there  is  one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Messiah Yahshua. 1 Tim. 2:5. Here  we  have  the three principals.  We have man on one side and God (Theos) on the other, and in the middle we have the Messiah, Yahshua.  The Messiah is the mediator between man and God, who is the Father.

By definition, a mediator is “one who stands between two parties or sides and is the medium for reconciliation between the two.  This is from Strong’s #3316, mesites, “a go-between, an internunciator, reconciler, intercessor, mediator, from #3319, mesos, the middle.”  So then if the Messiah is the mediator, then to whom is he mediating man to?  It has to be the Father.

Furthermore, we as the Messiah’s body, now have that very same ministry of reconciliation.  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. II Cor. 5:19.  But while all this reconciliation is going on, where is Theos/God/the Father?  The Father God is in the Messiah.  So now we see that Theos/Elohim/God, who is a Spirit, is invisible, the sovereign eternal King, and is the Father, and He is in Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One.  And God-in-human-form is called the Son of God, the Messiah Yahshua.

Where is God the Father in His relationship to the Son?  Let’s let the Son speak for Himself.  Know ye not that the Father is in me and I in the Father…I and my Father are one.

And who is our Father?  Who is this Spirit God, called Elohim in the O.T. and Theos in the N.T.?  Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God is one LORD. Deut. 6:4.  “LORD” in all capital letters is what the translators put for “Yahweh,” the Hebrew name of the Creator Spirit God.  It should read, “Hear, O Israel, Yahweh our Elohim (God) is one Yahweh.”  And here we see that Yahweh is our God (Yahweh = God/Elohim = one.

So  we  derive that Yahweh = Elohim = God = Theos = Father = Spirit, and all are One, and all dwelt bodily in the  Messiah,  thereby  reconciling  man  to  Himself.  The Father is Elohim/God, an invisible Spirit, and He dwells in His temple.  And the temple is God’s body, which is the Messiah and the Messiah’s body, His true followers.  There is one body, and one Spirit…one hope of your calling, one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  Eph. 4:4.  Here we see that there is one Elohim/God, who is the one Father of all.  This Spirit-God is the Father who engendered us all.

And Elohim/Theos/God, whose name is Yahweh, is the Saviour.  Yahweh is God and He said Himself that He is the Saviour and that there was no saviour except Yahweh.  I, even I, am Yahweh; and beside me there is no saviour…Thus saith Yahweh, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am Yahweh that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone.  Isaiah 43:11; 44:24.

Yahweh says that He created all things, the vast heavens, alone!   And yet, the apostles say that the Son “Jesus Christ” created all things.  How can this be?  Yahweh, the great invisible Spirit dwelt in the glorified spirit body Yahshua and created all things!  They were one!  God…hath…spoken unto us by His Son…by whom also he made the worlds.  Hebrews 1:1-2.

Look at what Paul wrote Timothy.  Paul, an apostle of Yahshua the Messiah by the commandment of God our Saviour…I Timothy 1:1.  We have proven by the scriptures that God is invisible and that His name is Yahweh and that Yahweh is the only Creator and Saviour.   Therefore, the invisible Saviour Yahweh dwelt bodily in the man some call Jesus Christ, but whose real name was Yahshua, which means “Yahweh is the Saviour.”

Believing this Oneness of God is knowing Him that is from the beginning and is a major pre-requisite in becoming His sons and daughters for these latter days.  So is believing in His true Name.
