Casting Out Evil Spirits in

Yah's Spirit World

We have called God’s Realm many things thus far: the Spirit World of Yah, the Kingdom of Spirit, the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Heaven, the spiritual realm of Yahweh.  We are really speaking of the same thing—the spiritual dimension that the Spirit is operating in.  He has turned us out into this nasty little planet full of evil and deception.  It is this wicked brutal laboratory where the King is testing, trying, and nourishing His sons and daughters.  They will reel with utter confusion until He reveals enough of His plan and purpose to them to stay the torment.  Then through many trials and tribulations, He will send them back out to do spiritual battle with the evil spirits that He has created.  Through contact with them, His offspring will grow and flex their spiritual muscles, much like young princes and princesses are trained and tested to become worthy of one day acceding to the throne.

To get them ready, they must grow up into Him.  To grow they must fight the good fight of faith.  So, their Father sends evil spirits to the earth to be cast out by His children.  He created them for the express purpose of having one of His spiritual children cast them out of other human beings.

Unclean spirits, devils, demons—they are all here on earth for one major purpose: that God’s Spirit would be recognized as all-powerful whenever one of His children casts one out by His Spirit!

The Son of God said that the man with that terrible sickness was there for the glory of God.  He was put there by God so that God’s glory might be seen.  Why are there evil spirits possessing people?  So that God’s glory may be seen when by His Spirit a devil is cast out of a person.

When a devil is cast out, all see that the kingdom of Yahweh is supreme and rules!  When an unclean spirit is made subject to the word of the Spirit coming through a disciple’s mouth, then God’s governing presence is come very near.  All present must shut their mouths and agree that only God can cast out a foul, evil spirit!

Do we believe that evil spirits are actually in the world?  If so, do we really believe that they are in subjection to God’s Spirit?  If yes, then do we believe that we have God’s Spirit?  Paul says that “if we are Christ’s then we have His Spirit.”  If we assent to this, then is it a big stretch to say that it is conceivable that true followers of Yah, using His in-dwelling Spirit, can, could and would rule over the base and unclean invisible spirits our Father has created and sent into this earthly dimension?  Is God the Ruler and Master of Satan, or not?  Is God in us, or not?  These questions should try our faith; they should check us to see if we really believe that God is living in us of a truth.

Is it a big stretch to believe that by God’s Spirit within us that we could utter a command to an unclean spirit and that that spirit would come out of a poor human being bound by that devil.

Scripture is full of examples of just such deliverance.  In fact, casting out devils is a sign that the kingdom of God is come.  But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.  Mt. 12:28.  Conversely, if devils are not being cast out of people, then the kingdom of God is no where around.

Unclean spirits are ailing mankind.  They foul his attitude  and  drag  him down to nothing.  But the Saviour said that they will come out.  When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man…Mt. 12:43.  This shows that not only are unclean spirits in men, but that those spirits can and do come out of them.  The unclean spirit after coming out of a man “walks through dry places, seeking rest and finds none.”  Then eventually that spirit will take other more wicked spirits with him and re-inhabit that original man.

Unclean spirits, devils, and demons know who the Master is, and they know when His Spirit is close to them.   In Mark 1:23 the unclean spirit was afraid of being destroyed by the Spirit of God in Yahshua.  The Saviour told it to be quiet and come on out of the man.  The spirit then “tore him, and cried with a loud voice, and came out.”  That evil spirit was and is in obedience to the Spirit of God.

The spirits knew who He was and said so.  “I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.”  But He did not allow  “the  devils to speak, because they knew him” Mark

1:24, 34.  He did not want the devils to tell the world at that time that He was Immanuel, God with us.  Point: the devils know their Creator!  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. James 2:19.

The Master, the Maniac, and the Evil Spirits

The maniac of Gadara in Mark 5:2 definitely had an unclean spirit.  People considered this man as a crazy lunatic.  He lived in a burial tomb.  He was combative and could not be tied or chained down.  Many had tried, but he could not be tamed.  This madmen filled his days and nights in the mountains and the tombs by “crying, and cutting himself with stones.”  Modern psychiatrists would come up with many diagnoses containing very long words, but the Master  cut  to  the  chase  and said, “Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.”  He did not talk to the man, to the poor destitute creature sitting there.  He spoke to the spirit inside the man.  But even before He got to the man, the spirits inside of him spoke out with a loud voice to the Saviour, not wanting Him to torment them by casting them out of the man.  The maniac suggested for Him to cast the legion of evil spirits into a herd of swine.  So He cast them into them and they “stampeded down the cliff into the lake and was drowned.  The swineherds took to their heels and spread their story in the city and all over the countryside.  Then the people came to see what happened.  As they approached Yahshua, they saw the man who had been devil-possessed sitting there properly clothed and perfectly sane—the same man who had been possessed by ‘legion’—and they were really frightened” Mark 5: 13-15, Phillips.  The mad-man was now a different person with his full faculties.  He was found “sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind.”  The devils take possession of a human’s mind.  “Losing  one’s  mind” is tantamount to having spirits take over one’s mind.  The Master helped the man repent by casting out of him the evil spirits that had possessed his mind.

Casting Out Spirits Was the First Power Given to His Disciples

The very first power that the Saviour gave His disciples

(Mark 6:7) when He was about to send them out to preach was “power over unclean spirits.”  And so “they went out and preached that men should repent.  And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Our Master Yahshua came to His people, and the first thing that He did is cast out the unclean spirits from them.   He  did  not  discuss  high  brow matters of church dogma.  He got right to the point and set things in order, and the top priority was to let the captives go free.  Loose the bands of wickedness.  Release those in bondage—spiritual bondage!  Question: Why don’t religious people today cast out evil spirits?  Oh, I don’t know…Could it be that they don’t want the Master casting out spirits around them for fear that their spirits might be ejected as well?

If someone’s mind is possessed by an unclean spirit, then they cannot think rationally.  They are deceived by the deceiver.  Until they are, like the demoniac at Gadara, delivered and “sitting clothed and in their right mind,” they cannot receive any light.  The house of the mind has to be cleaned out before the word of truth and light can come into that person.

God has equipped us with the truth about His Spiritual essence.  He wants us to walk out there into the world, believing that this is the Spirit world of Yah!  Believing that Yah is that Spirit that created not only this earth, but also the heavens and all that is in them.  And that includes invisible entities called spirits!  And He, with His indwelling Spirit, has given us power over the unclean spirits.  But, first, we are to take dominion over them in our own life and then go out and deliver others.

We do not fight against the human being who is possessed by a spirit.  We are rather to take dominion over the invisible entity, “for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.”  All this will come in time.  We must wait on Yahweh; He will give us the strength and power to accomplish what He wants to do through us.
